Okay, part of my preparations for this wedding is trying to clear up my skin. I have had a horrible time trying to keep my skin as clear as possible since...I started puberity. Even to this day, I have mild acne...It kills me. I'm almost a quarter of a century old, and I still have break outs like a 14 year old little girl!
A couple of weeks ago, I was looking up tutorials on ways to do makeup to try some things out, when I came across this. I couldn't believe it. But since I really had nothing to lose (my face already breaks out), so why not? Here it's only been a week and I can tell a major difference. Also since I'm trying to save money and all of the products that I found for this were stuff that I already had at home. I'm going to post what I've found and if you feel you should try it, do so. Just let me know how it works out for you. Like I've said...nothing but success for me!
All of these things are stuff you can find at home, or get at the store (any of them) for next to nothing. One of the main ingredient is Apple Cider Vinegar. Yeah, I know...it smells and yet...it's amazing! Here are a couple of things that I've found out about using Apple Cider Vinegar just for the face alone: Apple Cider Vinegar is an effective natural agent that cures acne by killing the bacteria and balancing our skin's level of acidity. It also absorbs extra oil from our skin, which is the main cause of acne. So, all in all...it's great for the skin.
Now, I don't care how old you really are, every girl on this earth worries about aging. I might be twenty-four, but I still don't want crow's feet or any other sign of aging...not for another 30 years. ;) As part of the mixture I'm using, Green Tea is really good not only to drink but great for the skin as well by maintaining a healthier and younger look. Green Tea has natural antioxidants in it that not only help with anti-aging but to help clear cell damage to the skin as well as help what many have turned into wrinkles, blemishes, or other nasty problems. Not only that, it also has a natural sun-skin protector built into it. Green tea also helps people with other skin disorders such as warts, psoriasis, and rosacea. It's a win-win type of drink!
Another thing you'll find in your cabnets to help is sugar. Sugar...the not so good for you inside because of the sweetner and stuff...is great for the face! The benefits of sugar are that it's a natural exfoliator, it doesn't clog pores like other scrubs, brings back natural oils (the good kind) to the skin, and helps elimanate blemishes. It also contains (I had to google this stuff) glycolic acid, an alpha-hydroxy acid, that is needed to maintain healthy skin. It not only helps condition the skin but moisturizes and protects from outside toxins. Since the skin is the biggest organ on/in our bodies, the best way to take in nurishments is to remove all the toxins and dead skin. Surgar helps greatly by exofialting.
Last in this lovely cocktail is honey. Before you go and spend hundreds of dollars on anti-aging products, look at the ingrediants and I'm sure you'll see that one of them will include honey. So instead of spending all those bucks, why not just use the cheap stuff! Not to mention, it's a really good way to bring a smooth glow to the skin. Honey has a natural ability to absorb and retain moisture to keep the skin fresh and and prevents dying. Honey also has natural antioxidants and ani-microbial properties to help protect from the sun's natural ray's and supports the skin's ability to rejuivinate and refresh skin that is deeply depleted, leaving it feel smooth and supple. Directions for the mask:
You'll need-
1 teaspoon Apple Cider Vinegar
2 teaspoons of Green Tea
7 teaspoons of Sugar (split)
1 teaspoon of Honey
Add Apple Cider Vinegar, Green Tea, and 5 teaspoons of Sugar in a bowl and combine together. Add Honey and stir. Add remaining Sugar and mix. Place all but 2 teaspoons in a glass jar (or any other type of container with a lid) and refridgerate.
To Use: Use a cotton pad to scup up the mask to absorb liquid. Just smear on and apply evenly. Use fingertips in a circle motion to coat evenly and exfloiate for 2-5 minutes. Let the mask set for another 10. After 10 minutes, rinse off mask with warm water as you gently exfoliate. Pat face dry. Skin's complexion should look brighter, and feel softer and firmer. Use 1-2 times a week for best results. Should notice a difference after 2 weeks.
There is also a toner to be used daily.
Fill a glass jar (or any other type of container with a lid) 1/3 of the way up with Apple Cider Vinegar. Fill the remaining 2/3 with Green Tea.
You can also add a teaspoon of Olive Oil for moisture benefits, or even a teaspoon of Lemon Juice or Tea Tree Oil to treat scars and acne even more.
Once combined in the jar, shake well. Both Toner and Mask should last two weeks in the fridge.
Apply the toner after using the mask to maximaze benefits. Use at night due to the smell. Take a clean cotton pad and apply a little and evenly to the most break out areas, such a T-Zone. Then use a moisterizer to pat on afterwords.
Hope this works out for you guys! Let me know what you think!
Not gonna lie, this was much easier to understand than the text you sent me about it. Lmao. Now that I fully understand what is in it and how to use it all, I think I'll give it a go. Like you said, what harm can it do, when I break out enough already?
ReplyDeleteThat's why I posted this. I re-read the text I'd sent you. And was like..hmm...yeah, let's try this! :) And I've noticed a huge difference. Like, even right after the first use. My face was soft and smooth (even though I still have some break outs). Even after a week, my acne is small and just starting to clear up.
ReplyDeleteI also like the fact that some of the stuff helps prevent aging. xD
Just tried this and so far I am loving it! It does feel better after just one use! Also the toner is pretty cool as well. Will keep using and let you know how it goes! Thanks so much for sharing. I have been looking for something that worked well and was all natural. Perfect fit! =D
ReplyDeleteI'd have to say that the only down side to this stuff is the smell. I'm alright with the Apple Cider Vinegar smell, but it's still REALLY strong. Keep me updated on how it works for you!
